These systems have an inbuilt gas or electric booster which activate when there is minimal solar energy heating the water tank. |

Heat pump systems work by transferring the heat from the air outside via a heat exchange system and using that heat to warm up the water tank. These systems are one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly way of receiving hot water in your home. Consumers can expect an immediate decrease in their energy bills as a result. Heat pumps have the ability to work even in cold temperatures. It is recommended to analyse the average temperatures in your area during winter as the energy consumption and life expectancy deteriorates if the temperature is low for a long period of time. |
| Evacuated tube solar hot water system | |

Evacuated tube systems are similar to conventional solar hot water systems by using solar energy to heat the water stored in the tank. The difference is that these systems use tubes rather than panels to trap the heat from the sun and transfer this to a heat exchange manifold system to the water tank. These tubes are highly efficient and have the capacity to work effectively even on cloudy days and in the afternoon when the sun is shining on an angle. |
