Solar Water Heating and Heat Pump Renewable Energy Certificates

Installation of eligible solar water heaters and heat pumps give rise to creation of Renewable Energy Certificates.

• Eligible water heaters are tested for efficiency and their REC value is determined by the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator. The number of RECs created by each installation is affected by where the installation occurs due to the solar zone of the installation post code.
• The savings or the deemed output of a water heater is calculated over 10 years. This means that RECs may only be claim once for each installation.

Solar Power (PV) Renewable Energy Certificates

The whole of Australia has been mapped by postcode for the available sunlight in each location. Postcodes have been place into 4 solar zones to determine the number of RECs created by each installation.
The number of RECs created depends on the size and location of the PV installation within Australia.
The potential total output of the PV system is calculated over a 15 year period:

• The option exists to create RECs each year for 15 years, in three lots of 5 years or a one of claim for 15 years.
• Creating RECs for a single block of 15 years with a single transaction is the most attractive option for most people as it provides instant value for the certificate at the time of installation. It can also be given as a point of sale discount when purchasing the system. This significantly offsets the capital cost. For example; a 1.5kW system would create approximately 155 RECs for zone 3 postcodes which can effectively reduce the purchase price of the PV system by many thousands of dollars.

• Login access provided to Wellbeinggreen's online assignment forms. This allows assignment forms to be completed on-line quickly and easily including all credit calculations and automatic application of current scheduled certificate pricing.
• 7 days flexibility to receive all signed & completed forms to honor pricing.

Associate Partner

• Pricing fixed for a calendar month advised 7 days in advance. For instance on the 23rd of June, you will be advised of the scheduled price for completed forms received (or created via our on-line assignment forms) during the whole month of July.
• This option is best suited for major installers of Solar PV and / or Solar Hot Water heaters.
• Best & competitive price guarantee at the time the price is set.
• 7 days flexibility to receive all the forms for installation of previous month.

Premium Partner

• Pricing fixed for a calendar month advised 30 days in advance. For instance on the 1st of June, you will be advised of the scheduled price for completed forms received (or created via our on-line assignment forms) during the whole month of July.
• This option is best suited for large installers/retailers of Solar PV and / or Solar Hot Water heaters who undertake significant advertising to allow maximum notice in order to formulate and publish advertisements.
• Best & competitive price guarantee at the time the price is set.
• 7 days flexibility to receive all the forms for installation of previous month.
